About us
We are two Czech natives, Daniela Martell and Michaela Schwartz who met twenty years ago in Washington, D.C. Daniela has a fashion degree from Le Grand Chic Institute in Bologna, Italy where she studied and gained sewing and couture skills. Michaela has a business degree and passion for all things fashion and wedding.
We started Green and Blue Studio in 2005 with a desire to bring some of the European flair we grew up with to Washington. We opened a boutique for women to find our own chic and classy designs and accessories.
Later we opened a new, larger studio to accommodate our growing custom design services and to provide our clients with an oasis to relax and enjoy the experience with us.
We are truly grateful to many people we have met along the way who helped us learn about the wedding business which led us to fall in love with weddings. We feel that this is the place where we can express our creativity and love for beautiful fabrics and materials.
Besides providing expert alterations and custom gowns, we design and create line of bridal accessories available in our studio or online.
